These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of NeedlepointFinish, operated by Craftily LLC ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
NeedlepointFinish is an online marketplace that connects stitchers who need needlepoint canvases finished with independent professional finishers, and that supports local needlepoint shops who refer customers. We provide the platform, payment handling, and shipping tools. We are not the finisher and do not perform finishing work ourselves; finishers are independent third parties responsible for their own services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use NeedlepointFinish. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
When you book a standard order, your payment is charged at checkout and held in escrow by our payment processor (Stripe) until you confirm your finished piece has been delivered. Custom pieces are quoted by the finisher and charged only after you approve the quote. The price shown is the price you pay; outbound shipping is purchased separately from your order page.
Finishers set their own prices for the options they offer. The price a finisher lists is what the customer pays; a platform fee of 6% plus payment processing (2.9% + $0.30) is deducted from the finisher's payout. Payouts are made to the finisher's connected Stripe account and released after delivery is confirmed and a short holding period passes. Finishers are responsible for completing work as described, for return shipping (the prepaid return label cost is deducted from their payout), and for compliance with applicable laws and taxes as independent contractors.
Approved shops receive a referral link and earn a commission on qualifying orders placed through it, tracked in their dashboard and paid out on a periodic basis. Commissions are subject to these Terms and may be adjusted for cancelled or refunded orders.
You are responsible for properly packaging items you ship. While we provide trackable shipping labels and hold payment in escrow for your protection, needlepoint canvases can be irreplaceable, and we are not a shipping carrier. We are not liable for loss or damage that occurs in transit; claims for carrier loss or damage are subject to the carrier's policies.
Cancellations, refunds, and workmanship disputes are handled under our separate policies: see the Refund & Dispute Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Return Policy. Those policies are incorporated into these Terms.
You agree not to misuse the platform - including by providing false information, attempting to take payment or communication off-platform to evade fees or protections, infringing others' rights, uploading unlawful or harmful content, or interfering with the security or operation of the service.
You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload. You grant NeedlepointFinish a non-exclusive license to host and display that content as needed to operate the service (for example, showing canvas photos to the finisher on an order, or a finisher's portfolio on their public profile). You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, timing, or outcome of any finisher's work, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Any dealings between stitchers and finishers are between those parties.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeedlepointFinish and Craftily LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of or damage to canvases beyond the amounts actually paid through the platform for the affected order. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NeedlepointFinish and Craftily LLC from claims arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect users or the platform. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
